So I actually love this chair. I am 5'2" and a long time criss cross applesauce sitter. I have another desk chair that's wide seated to account for that. But like most other adults in their mid-forties, my neck and shoulders (and body) are killing me by the end of my work day. I wanted to test something out that would be better ergonomically, and after just a minute of sitting, I could feel a difference in my posture and neck. I did paint my seats bc black was the only option when I ordered, and the blue looks so nice with my space and the cushions are still nice and soft. Only reason I deducted a star was bc I was not provided with the right hardware pack. For some reason, the strips that go under the legs were missing, and in its place, some screws and connectors. LOVE this chair! Well made, sturdy, arrived well packaged, and easy to assemble. For those who do not already sit cross-legged, I would suggest allowing a period of time for your body to adjust to sitting easily in the posture. It is well worth the effort as a seated cross-legged position naturally allows the body to maintain a healthy posture. For me, I had already taken the time to learn to sit cross-legged before purchasing the chair and found that I did not need to raise the upper seat at all in order to achieve a comfortable seat. The main surface (where the crossed legs rest) is large and comfortable. I had to raise my desk about 3 inches in order to allow for my knees to go underneath the desk and my hands/arms to fall in a comfortable position to type. Again, well worth the adjustment. When I do sit for long periods of time, I experience fatigue in my back and core, but that is to be expected as those areas strengthen after sitting in a chair where I did not have to engage those muscles. I love this office chair! It was so easy to put together and I did it without any help. The seat and back cushion are really plush and comfy. A traditional office chair is hard for me to sit in for long periods because my left leg will start to go numb. But I can sit cross-legged in this one and its so much more comfortable. Well made for the price. The cushion could be a little thicker but I'm 6.1" and 185 lbs...anyways it works. It is compact which I love, however the wheels are the worst but I changed them out with others for like $20. This convertible chaise is great. I've seen some complaints about the cover material. I'm not sure what those costumers are looking at. This piece is made of dense memory foam. It needs 24-36 hours to stabilize. Open your box, follow the directions and then be patient. You will be very glad you did. Use the last 5% of the expansion to fit the zip on covers. Wait too long and it's like zipping an over stuffed suitcase. Regardless, it can be done. I'm really excited for this new piece for the house.
