These metal shelves are fantastic, they are strong and being metal they don't start to sag like plastic or wood shelves. They are super easy and fast to assemble and this shelf in particular has double markings at certain intervals to make it easy to place the clips for even shelves, usually you have to count lines to make sure you get the plastic brackets in the right place but the double lines made it so easy. I think they will be fine for my needs, but they are not as solid as similar shelves I have previously purchased. The long shelves are actually two pieces that are connected to make one shelf.
