It’s perfect for me. I assembled it myself and it was pretty easy, took about three hours. If you’re getting it delivered be careful the edges of some of the pieces were scuffed and chipped, doesn’t bother me but could bother lots of people. Also the boxes are heavy!! This is to be expected but just keep it in mind. Supports me well. But be wary that the shelf is nice but your pillow will slide into it if you’re a rough sleeper haha, I banged my head on it the first few nights. We have twins that we needed new beds for. We loved how this bed had a headboard so they can store their books and knick-knacks. So we ordered 2 beds, One of the beds was perfect! Took a little time to interpret the instructions, but overall easy to build - just a little time consuming. The second bed, lacked quality control. I was very disappointed. The items themselves seemed to be free of defects, but once the drawers were built and installed, there was a slight gap in all 3 drawers, so they don't close all the way. We triple and quadruple checked the rails and the wheels sat correctly and made sure everything was supposed to be as is, but still, they don't sit right. Not sure why this was but I am including pictures for reference. Now we have one saying "why do I get the broken one" and as a parent you feel awful for picking which twin gets the "Broken one". =(. My son has enjoyed this bed for a few years now. He's got maybe another two in it before we'll change beds again, but it's been handy to have everything built in. I will say that it's relatively easy to take apart and put back together. Some of the hardware has started to have some issues like the drawer slides starting to catch a bit but my son has crammed the drawers full of stuff and then shoved them closed. This arrived on time and well packaged. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because a piece was mildly cracked, but it was on the back side so didn’t matter. Assembly was pretty easy and took maybe half an hour for me to do myself. Always concerned about ordering furniture to assemble through the mail but this was great! The box arrived with a few bumps and scrapes but everything was packaged very well. No scrapes or damage to the actual pieces. Everything went together well, instructions were clear and it looks very nice. I did need to add adjustable feet on the bottom to raise the unit 1/4 inch because I only ordered the headboard and attached it to a regular queen bed frame. Super easy! I did not nail the shelf backer board along the bottom because if I choose to change the orientation of the unit (there are two options for how the storage shelves can be built,) I did not want to mark up the finished edge with nail marks.. Overall, this bed is great for a kid. The metal frame makes it super sturdy and I think it will last a long time. The bed turned out to be exactly what my son wanted, and he loves it. The assembly took a while, and the instructions rely mostly on pictures, which can be a bit hard to follow. I saw some reviews mentioning issues with the mattress fasteners, but we used two on each open side and have not had any problems. I read reviews and was pretty intimidated when I started building, but everything went well. I had all of the correct parts, and I found the directions clear.
