Awesome that it comes pre-made already, so once you pull it out of the box, it’s ready to be used. Super easy to latchunlatch and extendcompress the bench. Both my partner and I sat on the bench while it was fully extended and it was very study. Although it was packaged pretty well, my item still came damaged on the bottom. The assembly instructions don’t tell you how to insert the gold pieces, so I’m sharing the trick here. You won’t be able to push in the gold pieces with your fingers and the holes will seem too small, but the pieces will fit - you have to use a mallet. Tilt the piece and use your mallet to gently tap in one edge of the piece so that it lodges crookedly in the hole. We just put this bench together this past weekend. Since it rained this past week, we didn't have an opportunity to use the bench/table at all. I when I went over to take a look at it for my review, I noticed several places where the finish already came off. It will need to be touched up and then have sealer applied. For the price, I would not have expected this to have happened. The functionality of the bench table will work well for us though. We have a 5'x8' patio area that used to have a swing. Yes, you can have 2 separate benches or put them together to be a full size picnic table. What a great concept! We like to give their customers choices because everybody has different space and personal requirements. Use the single tables end to end for a long buffet or for a narrow deck. This piece of outdoor furniture has a lot of detail and design. This convertible bench/table can truly be modular to fit your space and lifestyle. You can use 1 piece for a bench or small table. When you need a picnic table, put the two together. You can also add an extension leaf which gives you a larger table surface and an umbrella hole. Then add two benches at the end for extra seating.

This set is a nice cozy little table which has saved space in our lounge area. It was relatively easy to set up in terms of the number of parts, but you definitely need two people. The table has sharp pointed edges. so if you have little ones you may want to get corner protectors. Otherwise, the table is relatively lightweight and moves easily, so I recommend getting something when we need to hold it still if you do not have carpeted floors.
