Much better construction than I expected! Though, there is a small nick on the tabletop near where the butterfly leaf is, but it is barely noticeable. I would also suggest paying attention to the width of this table. I was so focused on length, I didn't pay attention to the width. This one is 5 inches more narrow that our last table.
