The portable AC unit definitely helps cool the room and makes my overall electric bill cheaper by not running the central AC as much. The biggest game changer is buying the dual hose conversion. I would not recommend this product if you did not purchase the door hose conversion. What a disappointment this unit was. I had to drain it multiple times in the first 24 hours, one time it leaked out all over my floors when I tried to run it while I was out, hoping to come home to a cool bedroom. Wishful thinking… The unit rumbles loudly, shakes my floors, and the fan was mind-numbingly squeaky right from the moment it turned on. It was many decibels louder than estimated - I clocked the average at around 64 decibels. Did not perform well heating my ~100 square foot room. The app worked but I was not able to get it working with Alexa, which effortlessly controls nearly everything else in my house. Would not recommend at all - will be returning as soon as possible..
