I’m super excited to have this compost bin. Assembly was straightforward and everything snapped together perfectly. I like the open bottom so that earthworms will have easy access to the compost. The lid has a decent little latch and the sliding door for accessing compost is a great feature Simply slide the door up and off for shoveling out finished compost. The RSI-Maze 48-gallon (180-liter) geared compost twin tumbler and the RSI-Maze composting cart. A key feature of the composter is the two compartments which means you never stop composting. When the first compartment is full, you start on the second compartment. Once this side is full the first side is ready to empty, and the cycle continues. For larger families that create more compost material, the interior divider between the chambers can be removed to allow the entire composter to be used for single composting. The strongly reinforced barrel is UV protected and contains multiple air vents to promote aerobic decomposition. The large opening and sliding doors allow for the easy addition of waste and collection of ready compost. The shipment on this was pretty fast! they had two colors orange or green, I chose the green sorry about the inside pictures, but it had been running this is where I put it together. I like how it has a different sections. You can keep everything separated until you’re ready mix your compost. It has a terrific handle, that makes this really easy. I am brand new to composting and this definitely meets my needs. Once assembled, it is a good size, lightweight, and easy to use. I took off a star because I found assembly to be challenging. Instructions were just ok. It requires over 40 little screws and bolts in some hard-to-reach places. Tough on fingers and fingernails. Calls for a wrench to tighten but no room to get a wrench in. I like that I didnt have to screw but 2 bolts. The frame snaps together and the tumbler only needs the center partition placed and then the door slides on. 10 minutes! Its nice and sturdy, and easy to tumble. The compost will be easy to remove by sliding the door open and rotating it downward. My compost is only a week into the making and its 80 degrees.
