Small size silver certificates were issued from 1928 to 1964, in denominations of 1, 5, and 10. Silver Certificates also known as Blue Seals and Blue Seal Notes are still legal tender but since 1968 they have been redeemable only in Federal Reserve Notes and may no longer be exchanged for silver. The 10 dollar silver certificate is housed in a protective 5 x 8 inch vinyl portfolio. The 10 dollar bill features Alexander Hamilton on the front and the US Treasury on the back. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.

This is a reproduction of Amos Doolittle's Battle of Lexington, April 19th, 1775 Plate 1. Amos enlisted in the Patriot army, and joined the troops at Cambridge, Mass. just ten days after the Battles of Lexington and Concord. Tagging along with him on the ride to Cambridge was his artist friend Ralph Earl. They both visited the battlefields of Lexington and Concord, and sought out eyewitnesses and minutemen who fought the battles. He asked them what happened, where and when, and then he told Earl what to draw. From Earl’s drawings and the eyewitness accounts he gathered, Amos Doolittle engraved four copper plates of the battle. The first print shows the Battle of Lexington, with Maj. Pitcairn at the head of the regular grenadiers. It also shows the party who first fired on the provincials at Lexington, part of the Provincial company of Lexington and the British regular companies on the road to Concord.

"George Washington and Christopher Gist on the Allegheny" by Daniel Huntington depicts a historical moment where George Washington, accompanied by Christopher Gist, is crossing the Allegheny River during a surveying expedition in the Ohio Country. This event took place during Washington’s mission to deliver a message from the British Governor Dinwiddie of Virginia to the French forces in the Ohio Country, ordering them to leave British-claimed territory. On the return trip, Washington and Gist attempted to cross the frozen Allegheny River but fell into the icy waters when their raft capsized. Washington nearly drowned but managed to reach an island in the river, where they spent a freezing night before continuing their journey.
