This thermostat was an exact replacement of a defective one that had been installed a few years ago. This product came with all the correct paperwork, the thermostat, the wiring box for inside the MasterCool. It was actually more than anticipated. I thought I was just getting a replacement thermostat, but was pleased to receive a complete product as if the mechanism was being installed for the first time. The residential stream generator only comes with the probe, no metal housing/ grill. Mr. Stan expects you to put the probe within your grout....so not sure how this would work down the road if you ever needed to service or replace this probe...rip out your grout? Also, you'd need to consider your spacing in your grout where you'd be placing this probe. Wish I knew ahead of ordering and then requesting replacement which arrived like the first, no housing/grill.
