The ovens seem to work well and so far temperatures seem accurate. My biggest issue is the racks - the slide-out racks are GREAT, but they do take up extra room. I wish there was a flat rack available. Also, you get 3 racks for 2 ovens - 2 slide-outs and 1 floor rack. That means that you really can't load up both ovens at the same time. I am planning on purchasing a second floor rack for the upper oven. I have used the proofing setting (works fine) and bake, of course, but none of the other options yet. Oven surface is easy to wipe clean. One feature I would love in the app is an indication of the current temp of the oven. It shows on the oven itself, but not on the app (when preheating).. Jkl_co. We are used to cooking with stainless cookware and the only usable burner for cooking on lower heat is the simmer burner. The others are just too intense. The grates are really heavy duty. This refrigerator replaced a 22 year old Artica GE Side by Side. I had kept the Artica going for all these years, but got tired of the defrost heater burning out what I consider to be too often? I purchased OEM one's, but the last one lasted about 14 months and it was a GE one. Don't know why they don't last any better? Anyway said goodbye to the old girl that served us pretty well for those 22 years. The ice maker had failed and had developed an internal leak I could not find and fix, so we lived without that for several of it's last years. Now, this new one is HUGE at 28.3 The old one was about 25 cu. ft. Actually, I hated the dark tunnel of the Artica Side by Side. Could not find things back in there! This new one is great from that standpoint with the lighted back panel, you can see everything in there. Like the convertible part and the drawers in the freezer section. I've read that the ice makers in GE refrigerators are troublesome compared to other brands? I hope it is trouble free, but all of that is unknown just after purchase and setup. The old Artica was built like a tank. The shelving was sturdy. This new one has shelving and door trays that are a bit less robust. I hope they stand up as well as the old Profile Artica? We really like the way it cooks salmon fillets using the Speed Cook technology -- a combination of upper halogen element, the lower element, convection and microwave. Pretty amazing. The nice exterior design looks good in our kitchen, right above a conventional Cafe wall oven. We purchased this oven to replace our previous (almost identical) 240V Advantium Custom Speed Cook oven. We appreciate most of the subtle display firmware/software improvements in the new VS1 design compared with the older NS1 model, which we replaced due to odd rebooting every few weeks. We loved the older model (other than the reboots) and appreciate the new one even more, except for the relatively loud alert sound when we open the door to check the temperature of something we are cooking.
