It's hard to find a replacement for a gas downdraft cooktop, but this one is great! Burners are stronger than previous cooktop (not GE). Downdraft works much better, doesn't pull flames from burners. The item was perfect. My dealings on the phone with wayfair were 100%. I ordered 3 different refrigerators 3 different times. The first 2 were cancelled days later because they were "out of stock", although they were in stock when I ordered them. Finally, the third one shipped and was scheduled for delivery on Tuesday. Monday evening about 7PM I received a recorded message telling me it would be delivered between 7AM and 11AM. I was told I would get a 30 minute warning text before it arrived. At 7:15AM I got a call from my neighbor that a delivery truck was backing in to my driveway. No warning call or text. I had to scramble to get my neighbor there to organize everything and sign the paperwork. The drivers did a great job getting things done. I have no problem with them. Wayfair, as I said, went above and beyond for me. Whoever was supposed to notify me dropped the ball. And GE, selling me 3 refrigerators while 2 of them were out of stock, failed miserably.. Michael. From quickly boiling water to maintaining a simmer, this innovative cooktop stainless steel gas cooktop features powerful burners to accommodate a number of dishes at once.

Have this for about 15 months. Using Barkeepers for stainless steel to clean but over time, some spills have become impossible to remove. Any recommendations on other acceptable safe cleaners? I have black stainless steel. The cooktop works well. Too bad the hortizontal piece on which the knobs sit become very hot when the stove is in use. Need to be careful. Despite manual specifying what size of pots/pans should be used on which burners, I've been able to have at least 3 large pots/pans all cooking at once.. Visionquest1928. Southern California.
