This fountain is very easy to assemble, producing a soft bubbling sound that cannot be heard at a distance, and little to minimal splash. This fountain has heavy components and may require lifting assistance.

I absolutely love this fountain. The only minor issue was the internal pipe for the power cable; it was a bit short, which limited the water level and made the pump sound a little loud. I easily swapped it out for a longer piece of standard PVC pipe, which allowed for a higher water level and a much quieter operation. The original of this grand statement piece was created by a Portuguese artist whose work first caught our designers' eyes at an art fair in Portugal. It took years of collaboration to arrive at this design that can be consistently produced. Multiple pieces are cast, bound together, and fired. Then it receives a reactive glaze and is fired a second time. There is a tremendous amount of artisan work that goes into every piece. Oh man, finding a vanity top for my Ayanna Single bathroom vanity was the most stressful thing in the bathroom reno- but we ended on a gem. This looks and feels solid. The shape of the sink is modern and clean- just note that there is no overflow for when you are looking for a drain. Everyone who sees our bathroom immediately touches it and asks what it is. We haven't had it long enough to know about any discoloration or chipping possibilities, but it honestly doesn't seem likely. Shipping great and well packaged to handle with care.
