This is a very sturdy cat tree and also good looking. My kittens just turned 4 months old but are so energetic they are already enjoying it. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. This tower is pretty good. It is sized for adult cats instead of kittens when most cat furniture is not. The cat shown in the photo is approximately 16 pounds and it fits them perfectly. I will say it doesn’t feel quite as sturdy as I was anticipating but I do feel it will hold up for many years. We bought this addition for our ferrets house HOPING it was the right one to fit. It fit like a glove. Our ONLY complaint is that the front panel had the brackets (to attach it to our existing cage) welded on the top, so we had to install it upside down to make it work. The door swings on the left, not the right, which is backwards, but it works. We just turned the latching hardware around to make it lock "right". Thankfully we are handy enough to figure that out.. This cage is suitable for a variety of small animals including ferrets, chinchillas, rats, squirrels, and sugar gliders, and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

It's a decent cage but came with some screws that were not really ideal for putting it together. Also instructions were a little vague but not too hard to figure out and takes longer than 45 minutes to put together even with 2 people even using a power drill. Also power drill is a must since they only made holes on one side of it to put together. Also, there could of been better attachment pieces for the top and bottom without having to add locks on it. We bought this for our 13-year-old chinchilla. She's had other cages but this one was, by far, the easiest to put together. The instructions were clear and all of the parts were labeled, which was extremely helpful. The only challenge was putting the platforms in the cage. It's easier if you bend the bars just a little bit to get the platform where you want it and then bend them back in place. There's one platform with a hole for her to go through, but she bypasses that and just jumps up from the ramps. Adding the ramps took the longest; putting the rest together took maybe 20 minutes tops. The ramps connect to the platforms which is amazing. She had a cage before where they did not connect and she would push them down. The ramps are covered and she goes up and down them with no problem. We ended up not using the hammock for safety reasons. I particularly like that there are doors on the front and the side. Excellent product. Definitely recommend.. Beth. Pittsburgh, PA.
