She has worked on various interior projects and licensing deals with reputable companies. She has also appeared as a lifestyle and design expert on HGTV, E!, Oxygen, and Own Network, and starred in her makeover show called “Unboxed with Nikki Chu” on Aspire. Currently, she documents her home renovation on “Nikki Chu’s Renovation Diary” and was chosen to decorate the garage in Architectural Digest’s The Iconic Home Showcase. Chu has received several awards for her outstanding accomplishments in the world of art and design.

The Savoy House Protea 2-light sconce was designed by award-winning interior designer and TV host Breegan Jane. It is named for a beautiful African flowering plant that is also known as the sugarbush. The sugarbush has a distinctive shape that is portrayed here with gently curving hammered arms topped by delicate blossoms, all finished in a rich bronze Manchester finish hand-painted by artisans. Protea is 27.25" in height, 13.38" in width and extends 6.5" from the wall. It uses two candelabra size bulbs of up to 60 watts per bulb. Bulbs not included. This sconce is damp area rated.

I love the way this sconce looks. However, the quality doesn’t match up to the price. The glass didn’t fit over the brass base of the light assembly, but luckily the brass piece was not attached. In addition, there is a plastic screw-on piece that holds the glass in place, but it’s impossible to put on unless you have a certain tool, but it wasn’t included and I didn’t have anything on hand that would work. Great! this has adjustable arm but it really isn't adjustable but comes with one pole to attach so it is either one size or the other. Which if you think about it where was it going to adjust to - i guess it could have slidden within itself but then when you extended it would be smaller. "The Burning of the Gaspee" by Charles DeWolf Brownell captures a pivotal but often overlooked moment in the lead-up to the American Revolution. In the years leading up to the American Revolution, tensions between the American colonies and the British Crown steadily escalated due to unpopular taxes, trade restrictions, and aggressive enforcement of customs laws. One flashpoint occurred in Rhode Island, where the British Royal Navy deployed the HMS Gaspee to patrol Narragansett Bay and crack down on smuggling—a vital economic lifeline for many colonists. The ship’s commander, Lieutenant William Dudingston, became notorious for overstepping his authority, harassing local vessels, and conducting unwarranted searches. His actions enraged Rhode Islanders, who viewed him as a symbol of British overreach and abuse of power. On the night of June 9, 1772, the Gaspee ran aground near Pawtuxet while chasing a packet boat. Seizing the opportunity, a group of local patriots led by John Brown - rumored to be a member of the Sons of Liberty - assembled a raiding party of about 60 men, rowed out under cover of darkness, wounded Dudingston, and set the ship ablaze. The Gaspee Affair was one of the first violent acts of rebellion against British authority and helped galvanize colonial resistance. Its historical significance lies in how it foreshadowed the coordinated revolutionary action to come. The Crown’s failed attempt to punish the raiders—thanks to a wall of silence among colonists—only fueled resentment and led to the formation of the Committees of Correspondence, a key step toward uniting the colonies in the fight for independence.
