The good: We bought the 14x10 and it is heavy duty. I haven't fixed it to my deck yet, but I doubt that would even be necessary because it's heavy and sturdy. It gets 4 stars because I'm confident it will serve its purpose for a long time. The bad: I can't give it 5 stars because assembly was difficult, even with 2 people in their 30s. It took us a total of around 10-12 hours over a few days. When assembling the large/heavy support beams, you will probably need to have some kind of supporting table or shelf to lean them on (or have a person hold a large piece while someone affixes it to another) to prevent bending. You'll also need at least one step ladder and a Phillips head screwdriver, which the description fails to mention and isn't included. The shed is very good. It definitely takes two people three would be better to put it together to hold the panels up in place and to get everything where it’s supposed to be and just a word of warning. Make sure that you anchor it to a wall or it will blow over. I had this shed tucked into a corner right up against house. I cannot believe that when got in there, but it blew it over and it was full of yard things it was a mess. I had to pull everything out of the bottom, which is open and anchor it into the wall, so don’t make the mistake like I did and think that just because it’s full, the weight is gonna keep it up in a high wind because it will not. UPDATE 1 YEAR LATER: you must attach this to your house. i did not attach it to my house even though i had it tucked in a small space right up against the house with the chimney to one side. i thought it was secure because the whole thing is also in an enclosed fenced yard and didn't think the wind would get behind it at all. . that being said it blew over one evening when it was TOTALLY FILLED! What a mess. i had to pull everything out of the bottom and get 2x people to stand it up. the back popped open and one of the panels got damaged. all and all it was ok but we now attached it to the house. so don't make my mistake and think all the weight you have in it will keep it from blowing over..it will not. even in an enclosed area.. I ordered the carbon tiles. They turned out great in my entryway, kitchen and closet. Installing them went pretty smoothly. With the four sides connecting it was a little difficult in smaller spaces to latch the sides but with persistence it worked out and they feel like they will stay together better than the connect and pound style. LOVE THIS PERGOLA - We needed something that kept the sun off our outdoor kitchen in central Florida. We lifted it by about 18 inches so it would be above our door by using flower boxes and filled with concrete. It actually makes the pergola more comfortable by raising it. The gutters work well in the heavy down pours known in Florida. The higher wind tolerance was a huge selling point for us. We couldnt be happier. We are very happy with this gazebo. The wood quality is very good, and the finished product looks beautiful and sturdy in our backyard. Assembly was easier than expected. Two people in the family were able to put it together without hiring outside workers. The instructions were clear, and the parts fit together well. I would recommend wearing gloves during assembly to help avoid scratches or small injuries, and having a ladder will definitely make the process easier. One thing I would suggest is adding an extra coat of wood stain or sealer if you want more protection. I did that for mine because I want it to last longer. Even without it, I think the wood feels durable, but if you live in a humid area or want extra long-term protection, adding a wood sealer is a good idea. One of my favorite things is simply sitting inside the gazebo in the early morning or late afternoon. The shade, fresh air, and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect place to relax and unwind.
