Now this is a heavy umbrella base! Someone said “get the heaviest one you can find”. My husband was not happy with me but that umbrella does not move in this base! I’m not sure how easy the wheels are for transport because I wouldn’t be able to tilt this thing back to use them (on one side). I love the simplicity and low profile of this patio umbrella base stand! It says it’s 40 lbs. but it feels much heavier than that! It was extremely easy to assemble, five minutes! I’ve had my umbrella opened since I installed it and we’ve had rain and wind for the past week and this umbrella has not wavered or moved an inch! I’m in the process of finding a new outdoor table with an umbrella hole, and I have no worries that this base will keep the umbrella steady. I like the fact that it come with several hole adjustments for various size poles. I had to use the 1.5 inch hole tube. Update, have a new table with the umbrella hole. This is a nice umbrella stand and looks great. My only issue was that I underestimated how much weight I needed for my umbrella, so I use sandbags for extra stability. This stand is very heavy and is able to withhold the wind which is awesome!
