I received the wrong one, as I had a feeling based on another review and when looking further into it, I noticed their color is the opposite of what it states within the description. I’m OBSESSED with these lights!!! They are absolutely gorgeous. I was concerned they wouldn’t be bright enough but I bought them anyways and I’m so glad that I did. This chandelier has a beautiful design and definitely makes a strong visual statement once installed. The overall look is elegant, and the alabaster gives it a high end feel that really elevates the space. That said, assembly was more tedious than expected. Several of the alabaster pieces don’t fully tighten, leaving them slightly loose, and a few won’t hang perfectly straight no matter how much you adjust them. It seems like some of the drilled holes may be slightly off, which affects the final design and makes it look a little cheap. I also wish the electrical cord were less visible. A better design would either conceal it more effectively or provide a way to secure it neatly along the suspension rods. Given the price point, I expected better overall quality. While it looks great once up, there are some frustrating details that take away from the experience. If I had time I would return it for something different. One important note: this chandelier is very heavy. Make sure to install it into a proper support beam! Drywall alone will not safely support it and it definitely requires two people to install. Installation seemed really easy but we used a professional who had done these before and it only took him an hour. We have the gold one and it replaced three gold and white pendants that were hanging vertically. The style and linear shape fit better with our kitchen. I am pleased to see veining on the alabaster shade. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 as you can see the tiny screws on the metal holding the shade if you look closely. Wow! We absolutely love this light. I had been searching for months for the perfect light. I wanted something with a simple feel, that also felt like art-but wouldn't overwhelm the other art we had. This fit the bill. The chandalier arrived securely packaged, which was my number one concern because of how heavy and fragile this is. There is an option for a silver or black hanging piece. We chose the black option. It is heavy, but our electrician was able to manage it. It is simple-yet sophisticated, delicate, and feels very organic in our space. I love the texture of the alabaster, and the warm glow the light and how it brightens up the various colors of the alabaster. It casts a great light at night, so don't worry about whether it will be bright enough. It is also dimmable, so get a dimmer if you can. I tried to include both day and evening photos.
