so far it is keeping cold. the freezer space is cut down with the extra ice maker,if i leave it off and use the extra room, i am in fear that the ice may not start working again. i really like it,but it might not start working if it is left off to long. so i have been informed by LG. It's hard to find a replacement for a gas downdraft cooktop, but this one is great! Burners are stronger than previous cooktop (not GE). Downdraft works much better, doesn't pull flames from burners.
