I was worried about whether the tops of each piece would be level to each other or if the gaps between the pieces would be uneven or wide. I would have to say, I am very happy with the outcome of this table. tabletop came as smooth as can be. Height range of adjustment on this table is amazing. It can go low enough for my 5 yr. old to work at or tall enough for a 6.5ft man to stand at.
