Excellent quality with nice lining! A little darker green than what the online photo appeared to be but definitely in the right sage-y, olive-ish tone I was hoping for. They are definitely room- darkening but I wouldn’t call them black-out. The fold lines weren’t terrible and fell out easily with my steamer. I definitely recommend these drapes. I wasnt sure about these when I first opened the packages. The smell was so strong that I had to put them in the wash immediately (watch out for crazy amounts of fuzz from the chenille!). The pattern is also printed on, not embroidered, and I thought it might look tacky. They came out of the wash pretty wrinkled even though I took them out right away, and the instructions say not to iron. And after all that - I really love them! I got this curtain for a wide, south-facing bay window in my living room. If you're looking for true blackout function, this curtain (in wheat... a mid-tone) is only a partial win. In bright, direct sun, this curtain filters only a 3 out of 4 (to compare with a brand which uses that 4-point scale with honesty). In overcast or night settings (I live across from a commercial site with intense LED lighting at night), this curtain is 100% blackout, but in bright daytime, glows dark orange and shows both direct sunlight and bleedthrough areas from my mini-blinds. (see 2nd image) However, the quality/heaviness of this fabric is outstanding. It's heavy enough that I have no fear that the grommets will tear out from regular use. This is relevant because, yes, I used a heavier curtain in my bedroom every night for 8 years, and am now going to make a new grommet band for that, using grommets I found from the jungle. [*returning to my current redecorating project....*] I'd already received a new 8-grommet (ea) blackout set for the smaller LR window (from the jungle), but couldn't find a matching 12-grommet set anywhere for the bay window. The existing curtain might be described as "fawn" or "honeyed tan;" I'd been attracted to its yellow undertones. This curtain is a very reasonable match; it looks a little lighter in strong daylight, but identical in overcast (see 1st image) or pm conditions. No one would know they're different unless I told them. This curtain has a lovely, soft rayon-like drape in a (surprise!) twill weave. If you wanted to add a lining for true blackout results, attach a dense but soft fabric just below the grommets. Or buy a second version in a light color and thread this 2-layer combo on a heavy duty rod (especially if you have HOA issues about window reveals). I bought the mauve and gray. The mauve color is very muted; both are beautiful. I I Love the material, the quality, and how well they blackout the sun. They are lined, which helps with energy efficiency. On the outside looking in, the mauve ones are a silky cream color and the gray ones are a silky light gray, which is way better than plain white like many of them are. Bonus points for being weighted. Only knock is that getting the wrinkles out takes some elbow grease. Steamer didn't work. Do not iron them directly.
