They are definitely room- darkening but I wouldn’t call them black-out. The fold lines weren’t terrible and fell out easily with my steamer. I definitely recommend these drapes. My only caveat: they are, as advertised, 50” wide but that’s about 4” less than what used to be a standard width for long curtains so be sure they’ll be wide enough.. Virginia. St Augustine, FL.
