The picture doesn't do it justice. The background is a bright white with gold and silver accents. It is elegant yet contemporary. My backsplash is 15" high so I had to decide if I wanted one or two of the gold and silver patterns to show. Either way I would be losing a lot of tile so I would need quite a bit more than anticipated. I think it would be best to use on a larger area so you can see pattern after pattern.
