Sooo Pretty! These sheers will look great in my bedroom. I love the large hem and the pinch pleat. Why 4 stars? What an annoying and cumbersome care label. I am in the process of removing the care labels and I must go in and rip out the piece left over after cutting and sew up the hem (you will definetly see the label if not removed when the curtains are closed), the label is sewed into the hem, there is not an extra top stitch on the label that would make it easy to remove, these labels are sewn in as part of the curtain. Why??? I know there are legal reasons to secure the label to the product but there has to be other ways than this no matter the low cost. I got this curtain for a wide, south-facing bay window in my living room. If you're looking for true blackout function, this curtain (in wheat... a mid-tone) is only a partial win. In bright, direct sun, this curtain filters only a 3 out of 4 (to compare with a brand which uses that 4-point scale with honesty). In overcast or night settings (I live across from a commercial site with intense LED lighting at night), this curtain is 100% blackout, but in bright daytime, glows dark orange and shows both direct sunlight and bleedthrough areas from my mini-blinds. (see 2nd image) However, the quality/heaviness of this fabric is outstanding. It's heavy enough that I have no fear that the grommets will tear out from regular use. This is relevant because, yes, I used a heavier curtain in my bedroom every night for 8 years, and am now going to make a new grommet band for that, using grommets I found from the jungle. [*returning to my current redecorating project....*] I'd already received a new 8-grommet (ea) blackout set for the smaller LR window (from the jungle), but couldn't find a matching 12-grommet set anywhere for the bay window. The existing curtain might be described as "fawn" or "honeyed tan;" I'd been attracted to its yellow undertones. This curtain is a very reasonable match; it looks a little lighter in strong daylight, but identical in overcast (see 1st image) or pm conditions. No one would know they're different unless I told them. This curtain has a lovely, soft rayon-like drape in a (surprise!) twill weave. If you wanted to add a lining for true blackout results, attach a dense but soft fabric just below the grommets. Or buy a second version in a light color and thread this 2-layer combo on a heavy duty rod (especially if you have HOA issues about window reveals).
