I wasnt sure about these when I first opened the packages. The smell was so strong that I had to put them in the wash immediately (watch out for crazy amounts of fuzz from the chenille!). The pattern is also printed on, not embroidered, and I thought it might look tacky. They came out of the wash pretty wrinkled even though I took them out right away, and the instructions say not to iron. And after all that - I really love them! I am ecstatic over these Amherst pintuck curtains. I have been looking for curtains to match my comforter and pillow set for a very long time and finally found them. I chose the aqua, cream, gray and they are absolutely gorgeous. The material has a very faint sheen, are made very well, and will last a long time. The curtains have a white linen back so they will aid in keeping it warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. What I love the most is the top of the curtains. I have always had the pocket rod but with the way my curtain rods are, the curtais never went to the end of the rod which was a look that made me cringe. These curtains have slats that slide through the rod and can be adjusted to the end of the rod which provides a more cohesive look.
