Looks just like the picture. The assembly process is an adventure. The parts are not labeled and the pictures can be a bit cryptic. I also had to drill my own pilot holes for some steps. I oddly really enjoy putting furniture together and can honestly say, this was not my favorite project. The ExtremeAIR 42” range hood arrived quickly. We unboxed it from very good packaging, because the shipping box was obviously crumpled on the corner. Hood was in perfect shape. Very sturdily made. We plugged it in, tried the remote and we are delighted with the power it has. Not as loud as I thought it might be on highest setting. I’d expect some noise at 900 CFM. Lights are placed near the front corners to see what you’re cooking. They are only On or Off, no dimmer or night light-the only thing I might say would be an upgrade. My husband said the hanging plate for attachment is adequate for such a heavy unit, but you need to have solid wood for those screws to hang it. Not a problem here. There is no pipe for the vent, only the baffle and decorative cover for the chimney. You will need to buy pipe and elbow if I going through the wall. Works beautifully! Very pleased!. Darra.
