Love, love, love!!! Two similar pictures of this beautiful painting in different lighting and yes, I know it looks a little crooked, but I assure you my ability to use a level is better than my photo taking skills! The only sesame seed sized “complaint” I have is that tiny, white spot that is only noticeable up close and with a critical eye because it’s against the black trim. It looks like either it’s the white canvas that the ink missed when printing or a drop of white paint. I love it nonetheless! For reference I purchased the 20” x 24” size.. Christine. Takes a while to ship/receive but worth waiting for. This is a very good value item to fill in blank space on any wall. Inspired by a family photo of a Moroccan wedding dress (El-Keswa El-Kbira) this piece is a work years in the making. Engraved in my mind I knew that one day I would incorporate this personal iconic image in my art. My goal was to express the multitude of feelings and memories the dress evokes for me as well a sense of respect and dignity for my heritage. This image represents Moroccan beauty and a culture rich in customs and history. Legacy captures a sense of growing-up in Israel at a time when intra-Jewish racism was escalating and my family's roots needed to be suppressed, and nearly erased for the price of assimilation. After years of living in NYC do I fully understand the importance of celebrating one's authentic heritage, Legacy helped me explore this important question.
