Beautifully designed vanity! The only drawback to this particular piece is that the company does not have the vanity top to go with it. You will need to have a vanity top made special for this vanity. I didn't know this until after I had purchased it and thought I could order another beautiful vanity top to retro fit onto this vanity. It didn't work :(. So, the vanity and the vanity top I purchased from Wayfair didn't fair well for me due to this problem. Otherwise, it would have been a beautiful ensemble in my bathroom. Also, the retro fit vanity top with this vanity base didn't accommodate for the use of the beautiful faucet I purchased. It wouldn't allow the faucet to have full power or range of movement; because it brought the faucet too close to the edge of the unit and the wall. Too bad! We designed and produced this hall table as a matching item to sell along with our ever-popular style stand. Equally well-loved in its own right the four drawer hall table can be used throughout the home as decorative and functional storage. As with it’s smaller counterpart piece the hall table is also constructed from the finest solid mahogany and mahogany veneers and banded throughout with satinwood. The solid brass capped feet and designer quality drawer pulls are always a favorite of everyone.

The feature of the entrance table is the retro and painful process, giving it a charm of time-worn beauty. The surface is covered with glass, and the solid wood birch legs provide stable support. It came shipped with this large cement block underneath, secured under particle board. I have no idea why it was there. It filled the entire bottom of the cabinet. It fit perfectly in there, so it was made to go there, but it served no practical purpose, it made it considerably heavier for shopping, and the particle board holding it had mostly broken by the time it arrived. As a result the product appeared broken to me at first. The included instructions only reference how to put on the legs, so there is no mention of this block, and the images of the product do not have this in there. Because of this, and because it was splintered and almost falling off, I removed it (only then did I see the cement block). Really odd. I removed it and I had to repair three screws to help resecure the top, which was very loose. So it was not in great shape overall. At the end, though, I have a decent, not great, piece that will serve its purpose. So I’m ok with it, ultimately. But only because it was a little over 300. It’s not worth more.. Michael. With the opening of Winterthur Museum in 1951, Henry Francis du Pont and his family moved to a regency-style villa built just across the lawn. He decorated his new house with English, French, and Italian antiques acquired early in his career as a collector. Many of those furnishings had filled the du Pont's Park Avenue apartment for the previous thirty years. One of their friends described the Park Avenue ambiance as very swagger, or elegant. Hickory Chair company's artists were inspired by an antique side table from H. F. du Pont's home the design of the 21st-century table.
