I had the R10000-UNBXHF valve body (in conjuction with the T17038-SS Lahara 17 series valve trim) installed 16 months ago and the shower head is now dripping when the valve is turned fully in the off position. My 20-year old shower was leaking out the shower head even after replacing the mixer cap (rotating valve). Then I bought this, the pressure balancing unit (PBU) and after replacing both, there are no leaks and it works better than new. Kohler will say that this PBU is not the solution to a leaky shower head, but it was for me. Watch the Kohler installation video and buy both this PBU and the temperature regulator and you will be good as new. The parts change out quickly and easily with simple tools. I purchased this to replace a pre-existing delta shower handle and my only complaint is that the handle in the off setting falls in between the hot and cold water symbols, as opposed to pointing towards 6 o’clock when the water is off. My plumbers told me that that is a Delta limitation as opposed to this faucet limitation So when you turn the water on, it goes all the way to approximately 11 o’clock in past the hot water symbol, which is approximately at 3 o’clock.
