The fabric and metal are both high quality and heavy. Take note-the center pole is quite large, as we had to file the inside of the hole in our table in order for it to fit. This extra large market umbrella is perfect for our outdoor pool patio. It provides excellent shade, is easy to open and close, and feels sturdy even on breezy days. It looks great and has made our space much more enjoyable! The base (shown in picture) comes with a cloth cover on top, instead of plastic.
