The height is perfect for an adult to sit upright comfortably and can be used by children,as well, because it is easier to climb upon. The assembly was made difficult because the instructions were not as clearly defined. Oftentimes, written instructions are more accommodating than pictures, especially considering the uniqueness of the assembly of this product. I loved this storage bench! The teal is very pretty, the thing’s well made, hinges are of great quality, and it arrived very well packaged. The only reason (well, 2 reasons) why it does not get 5 stars is because it’s so light, it moves too easily around wood floors, so I always have to be putting it in place over and over again, cuz it moves about easily from just having my little kid or dog slightly brush against it... then again, some people might like how light it is.
