I definitely agree with thought this air conditioner was what was advertised. I have always wanted to try a portable air conditioner. I should have thought it through because i had a 10000 BTU window unit that kept our room cool. I have tried many evaporative coolers and this is one of the best. It's very well designed and decreases the temperature of the flowing air by 3-4 degrees just by adding the tap water. It has one of the biggest water curtains I have seen in the fans designed for home. But unfortunately, it doesn't work for me because I live in a humid climate and these evaporative coolers add to the humidity and make the hot days more humid. Very pleased. Have only used it for a few days, but it has significantly cooled down my son’s apartment. Super easy to install. However, we did have a similar issue that another person mentioned. The window adjuster doesn’t work in some windows. If not wide enough the slider covers the hole where vent attaches. These windows were not unusually narrow.
