Got it for my moms apartment. It works great. Definitely for a small area. It blows out cool air right away. I would make sure to clean and keep up on cleaning the water tank and the rest of the unit. It starts getting worse after a week. It does the job and it is easy to move around because of the wheels. I just got it today, it’s working great so far, my Insulin was taking over my fridge,so I needed to step up, it’s much smaller than I thought it was going to be. I am so excited for this mini split unit. Getting a new central air conditioner is just not in the cards right now. This is a very affordable price for the amount of ac and heat that you are getting. Things of note, we had to buy a specialty drill bit to be able to install the units properly. We live in a brick house and needed to be able to drill through the brick. The lines that connect from outside to inside need about a 2 inch diameter hole to pass through. We also decided to buy a rack so that we could hang the main condenser above the ground. We were not able to install this by ourselves and had to call for reinforcements via an HVAC guy. Once everything is finished being installed I will update with the finished product! UPDATE: like others have posted, you will need a special HVAC vacuum to start the unit. You will also need special wire and a 220 outlet to connect to.
