The unit is whisper quiet depending on the setting. Even on high, it’s much more quiet than the traditional non inverter units. It’s worth the bump in price. Has a nice sleek look that is modern and blends in well with my bedroom. Personally, the aesthetics look way better in my opinion than a mini split unit plopped on the wall. But the flexibility, and relative ease (its still an air conditioner!) of taking it in and out of the window to only use when needed has been amazing. Its so quiet in my son's bedroom, but keeps him cool during his afternoon naps and has kept his room cold enough for the occasional too hot nights.
