I gave the mattresses about two days to fully expand and was surprised at how firm they are. Most "firm" mattresses are not very firm; however, I weigh just under 200lbs and I sunk in about a half-inch. It is a soft kind of firm, not a hard, cheap couch kind of firm. My wife laid on the top one and she was equally, pleasantly surprised. That says a lot, coming from her, as she has a bad hip and is very particular when it comes to mattresses. Overall, I’m happy with our purchase! It’s been a year and a half and it’s held up well. My only complaint is that it does seem a bit on the warmer side (or it could just be that my night sweats have gotten worse. lol).
