These lights hang swagged along the ceiling edge my 40’ front porch. This is the second year (2026) they have been put up. I have them plugged into a timer so every night they go on at dusk and off at midnight. I have never had to replace the any of the bulbs yet. The bulbs are plastic, but do not look like glass. I bought them specifically for that reason because the previous string came down in a windy storm leaving glass shattered everywhere. We just had it installed yesterday. Recommend that you get a print out of the specifications and the installation. From what I was able to read in Wayfare’s description section, we would be able to install the unit flush with the ceiling. And unfortunately, because I didn’t have printed specifications we had to drop down the unit a foot from the ceiling. Not the inconspicuous flush mount unit and I was hoping for. According to my contractor, this was a very complicated unit to install. To be fair this is a relatively new category of range top hoods that are being offered. Pleased with the noise level, but have yet to cook with it. Read reviews from other previous purchasers, and a common statement was how small the remote controller was.
