This evaporative cooler has done a very good job of keeping the room cooler by at least 20 degrees. The 4 ice packs work well to keep the water cool for quite a long time. It is very easy to operate and does not use an excessive amount of water to cool and do like it holds a lot of water. I use this as a complement to the evaporative 4700cfm that I have in the window in the far side of the house, because by the time that air gets to the back it is not as cool, so this helps a lot. The compact feature of this unit is great and it did not produce any notable scent and some brands do. I bought this because as an insurance policy for my new building space after being exposed to mold previously. Well it turned out to be a great idea because just a few weeks later mold in the new space was revealed.
