If you order it in the winter, let it warm up to room temperature so you can work with it. The first step on the staircase was missing its trim and cutting a new one was not prohibitive so I bought this trim. It matches with the wood cove already in the house. I only used enough for around the curve and continued with wood cove. The instructions recommend using construction adhesive and nails so installation was easy. I needed to match some 100+ year old Crown Moulding to complete a remodeling project of a vintage retail space. This product was a very close match to the original (best I could find). I doubt if anyone but me will ever notice the difference in patterns and size. The painter installed it easily, and the finished product looks great.
