this is a replacement for an older shade. Found the eyelets to be superior in this Royal unit but have not had time to install but from inspection the stitching is the key. It's fairly easy to assemble, and just remember to take your time. There are 3 parts to the tree, one tree stand, and then the power cord. The branches are hinged and initially wrapped tightly with a strand of garland. After unpacking and untwisting the garland holding the branches, you can gently lower each branch into place. The powercord is rather thin, so I will wrap a protective tube covering around the cord to deter my pets. There is an instruction booklet to help with connecting the cord throughout the tree pieces too. I went with the 7-foot tree, and it will be the tallest in my Christmas tree grove.
