This tarp works great to filter our hot and very bright Arizona sun. We have to very large German Shepards dogs that have a huge pen where they like to relax and play during the day. Half of their pen is shaded with heavy duty tarp. During the hot sunny days they lose half their space. We installed tis tarp on the other half and it works great as an additional shaded area for our furry kids. It really does cut down te heat considerably. This tarp will work for just about any area you want shaded. I wish all our 5 acres were covered in this material. I was surprised how fast. It comes in a bag in a box. Good sized bag if you need one. I ordered the biggest on they have to give me a lot of shade in the one place in my yard with no trees. Summer sun is good to get out of. I used a lot of this cloth. I have some to give me privacy and this one is slated for the 100' of south facing yard.
