It makes a lot stronger and you're not pulling on the fabric when attaching to post or walls. I like a sail that doesn't flop around this one is very easy to mount and it looks great. The sun shade was easy enough to install with the separately purchased cable kit. It did great when it was sunny, but a freak rain storm caused the fabric to sag significantly. Time will tell how it will hold up to infrequent rain over the late spring and summer.. Philip. Thu May 28 2026
