so this isn't a bean bag chair at all. it's pretty strong foam inside which we actually like a lot better! it did take a few hours to come to life fully from the plastic, and the smell was pretty awful so we put it outside to off-gas, but it's really comfortable. it is very LOW, so you are sitting basically on the floor. not great for the taller people or those that have a hard time getting out of chair on the floor. think of it like those low sitting beach chairs, about that height. since ours is for a teen, it works great! our dog fully thinks its a giant dog bed lol!. Ordered for my 4 year-old-son's room and he LOVES how it feels. Definitely too low for adults, but perfect size for kids and he can squeeze on there with a friend if he wants to. Our dog also really likes it, haha. It is heavier than I thought it would be, but the carry handle helps us lug it around the room. The boucle-like material attracts more fuzz & pet hair than I'd like, but it vacuums easy. Lastly, and most importantly, it is DARK, almost black.
