The San Felipe was one of the most beautiful Spanish ships in the 1600s. Launched in 1690, it had 96 cannons and was the lead ship of the feared Spanish Armada. It was powerful enough to go up against the most formidable ships in the French and British navies. In 1705, the San Felipe and 11 other Spanish ships waged a furious and heroic battle against 35 British ships. After 24 hours of fighting, the San Felipe was captured but was so badly damaged that it could not be salvaged as a prize. It sank with several tons of gold.

You will be impressed by the craftsmanship excellence and attention to detail on these large handmade wooden with real metal works of art. They are magnificent. Put them as a mantle piece. Master craftsmen handcraft these highly detailed wood models from scratch using historical photographs, drawings and original plan. They are built to scale with high-grade wood such as: western red cedar, rosewood, and mahogany. They are 100% hand built individually using plank-on-frame construction method and are similar to the building of actual ships. Each model requires hundreds of hours to finish and must go through a demanding quality control process before leaving the workshop. This is truly beautiful model of the Riva Aquarama with western red cedar and mahogany hull. He commissioned an 800kg-class three-point hydroplane hull to be built by Cantieri Timossi, a hydroplane builder on Lake Como, near Milan… The hull was dubbed Arno XI. For the engine, he turned to the new up and comers of the auto racing scene – Scuderia Ferrari… On the morning of October 15, 1953, Achille Castoldi succeeded in smashing the 800kg class speed record with an average ''flying kilometer'' two-way speed of 150.49 mph. He followed up the performance later that day by setting another record in the ''24 nautical miles'' event with an average speed of 102.34 mph… Arno XI was restored in the early 1990s and was put up for auction at the Coy's Festival at Silverstone in 1997 where it did not sell. It was photographed skimming across the water as recently as September 2004, along with many other vintage racing boats...

Our spectacular HMS Surprise model is handcrafted from beautiful wood such as rosewood, mahogany, teak, and along with various other exotic wood. The hull is constructed using a plank on frame method, each strip of exotic wood are carefully joined together to form a smooth hull. This model is completely hand-built to spec by skillful and creative master craftsmen; you will be amazed at how real it looks. The ship has a clear varnished coating follow with amazing details. On the ship, you can come across incredible features such as wooden bowsprit, foremast, mainmast, and mizzen mast. They are all connected to numerous full-size fabric sails with detailed stitching, all rigging are painstakingly fastened by hand in matching colors. On the main deck, you will come across 2 wooden boats situated in a large rectangular area with 2 wooden bunkers, a wooden/metal steering wheel, and a wooden bunker with a telescope. On the poop deck, there’s a navigational area with 2 metal steering wheels for the captain and 1 wooden cabin. There are metal railings surrounding the beak deck area toward the quarter deck area. You can easily spot 2 rows of numerous metal cannons on both sides of the hull. In addition, you will find supplementary crafted metal parts on the ship such as anchors, lanterns, statues, and much more...There’s also a wooden rudder held with metal to help the ship maneuver in the right direction. An attached wooden stand with a nameplate engraved “HMS Surprise 1794” is standard on this model. Our model was built according to scale through original plans, pictures, and drawings. We absolutely use no plastic parts only the highest quality wood and metal parts. This model is carefully secure and packed inside a wooden crate for easy shipping purposes. Our HMS Surprise model comes fully-assembled and ready to be displayed.

Well for over a thousand dollars some of the build could have used a little more quality control Some missed glued parts ,some of the fixtures like the the figure head on the bow the casting quality was shoddy and not the proper figure head either, the ships hull looks good the rigging is fair it is not the same stern design as in the movie although I understand they used a close version of her the actual movie ship was called the Rose. Beautiful sink and got plenty of comments on it before and just after it was installed. Still think it’s a beautiful sink but does scratch very easily. We used sink for 2 days before sink grid arrived and babied it. It still got one small scratch as cooking utensils were put at bottom of sink. It has subsequently started rusting. It is no larger than a grain of rice but is noticeable. The sink grid helped to cover it up but is still frustrating based on cost. If purchasing, make sure to get the sink grid before using.. Derek. First of all, I love the fact that plants can be purchased through Wayfair. I have a hard time deciding which plants I like best when at a nursery. I’m overall very pleased by how quickly this shipped and the freshness of the monstera. I deducted one star because I stupidly reached into the box and tugged gently to get the plant out and realized that I was actually tugging on a leaf. The results are in the picture attached. The three-masted topsail schooner Atlantic was one of twelve vessels that competed for the 1905 Emperor's Cup, a prize put up by Germany's Kaiser Wilhelm for a race between New York and the Lizard (the extreme tip of Cornwall). Atlantic won the cup by achieving a time of twelve days and four hours. In one 24-hour period, she ran 348 nautical miles. She was taken up by the US Navy in both world wars and was eventually acquired by the US Coast Guard Academy. Although the Atlantic was built as a racing craft, she had a stateroom accommodation for seven people. Launched in 1903, she won the Kaisers Cup in a very exciting race by crossing the Atlantic in 12 days, 4 hours, 1 minute, 19 seconds.

Beautiful statement piece to have in your home! We wanted something unique and used it in place of a guest book at our costal-themed wedding. It is now filled with names written on the sails, and is beautiful. I had my father put it together, so I can’t attest to how the set up was. The bow has a piece of wood that the sails are connected to that inserts into the hull. You can see in the photo that it must have popped out at some point, and is leaning up against the hull. This likely happened when it was transported to our venue, but it is easy to pop back into place- just beware that this can happen. It is very well-made and we received countless compliments!
