Our ceiling medallion collections are modeled after original historical patterns and designs. Our artisans then hand carve an original piece. Being hand carved each piece is richly detailed with deep relief, sharp lines, and a truly unique touch. That masterpiece is then used to create a mold master. Once the mold master is created we use our high-density urethane foam to form each medallion. The finished look is a beautifully detailed, lightweight, solid construction, focal piece. The resemblance to original plaster medallions is achieved only by using our high-density urethane and not vacuum-formed, "plastic" type medallions. Medallions are lightweight for easy installation and come primed and ready for paint. These are in stock and available for immediate shipment. Our whole one-piece medallions are cut in two for you, making installation a breeze.

Painted & antiqued it and came out great. Installation was a breeze. It's on the ceiling of a covered patio and while it doesn't get any direct weather it does get temperature & humidity fluctuation. A finish offering a subtle contrast of neutral white and beige, featuring a recessed center panel with slightly raised floral pattern detail. A beautiful and neutral creation that allows for a wider variety of installations. This completely finished architectural ceiling medallion is the largest round medallion offered and creates an instant focal attraction with its 3-dimensional detail. Also, a crowning elegance to a chandelier installation for a ballroom, cathedral, restaurant, or large home, which is often a good time to install your selected medallion. The item comes fully finished out of the package and is hand cast in a lightweight polystyrene that will never shrink, split or crack. Prior to masterpiece moldings' creation of this collection by AFD home, the only way to have had an advanced ceiling with this level of design would have been a very expensive addition and an owner willing to take on an elaborate installation project, requiring carpenters, finishers, and in some instances even artists. I got a track light for my kitchen when I had it remodeled. The guy who put the light up said he couldn't get it to fit tight to the ceiling so I bought a two piece medallion, got some adhesive and put it up. It was a smaller medallion so I didn't even need to use screws to get it to stay up. Not only does it cover the opening around the base of the light but it dresses up my ceiling.
