[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3 stars for functionality, 5 stars for cleaning performance. This dishwasher does an amazing job at cleaning our dishes. So for that I highly recommend. However, it does have a few frustrating "features". The racks are difficult to use for a number of reasons. In the two months I've been using my machine, I still don't know the best way to load it. The top rack is OK (not great) but the bottom rack is bad. You can't put anything in the front half of the rack between the tines because everytime you push the rack in the dishes fall towards the back. I love having the flex tray at the top but the handle design is terrible and it is always coming loose. And on all the racks the tines that you can lay down never want to stay in place. The control panel has bright LED lights but the icons aren't lit up, which means at night when you want to use the machine you can't see the buttons because you're blinded by bright white light bars. Lastly, I put the machine online, which was handy for setting up washing cycles, but the other day it mysteriously disconnected from my phone and now I can't get the machine back online again.. Matt. Just got the microwave set up and working, so time will tell. The MCM1611ST is very similar to a Magic Chef I bought in 2004. The old machine needed some parts, which impressively Magic Chef still sold, but the cost could have approached this new machine. The old machine had an all stainless case and cavity, which these new machines lack. It was also made in Korea, while all the new machines are made in China. This is such an upgrade from our 10,000 BTU portable air conditioner. We purchased this Danby because our old a/c unit started blowing hot air. After checking to see if it needed draining, filter cleaning, checking the hose for blockages, etc., we realized it was likely not worth trying to get it repaired. We've bought Danby products before but never a/c units. So far, it's doing a great job. We have it set up in our living room, which counts as two rooms if we were to carpet it and so far, it's keeping the space nice and cool. We live in an apartment, so this works really well. The true test will be how it lasts during some of the summer's longer heat waves, but as we're experiencing mini heat waves right now (that last maybe 2-3 days), I'm happy to say that it's doing a decent job. Oh, and it's super quiet. Our other a/c unit that we have in the bedroom runs a lot louder than this one and is maybe only a year old.
