The fan for the system is strong and has a good airflow, even on low setting. Air coming through the fan is cooler than ambient air, and helped reduce humidity in the room. To operate the device, water needs to be added to the bottom tank. There are two cooling packs provided, I placed them in the freezer for several hours, then put them in the top portion at night, for cooler air. I don’t know if they did much good. The fan is not overly loud, but definitely has a white noise sound to it. An instruction book is included with the unit, however, it is a little difficult to follow. I went to the product listing on the Wayfair website to obtain information that was not in the instruction book. Overall, not a bad unit in terms of volume of airflow.
