These brackets look great, paint up well (I got the primed only), and seem sturdy enough right now. But the last ones I bought - very similar design - I had custom made and the welds were definitely much more beefy and solid all the way around on those. These brackets appear to have just 2 tack welds where the curved part of the bracket meets each flat plate. We'll see if they hold up. They are not loose in any way though.. Nancy. I have 4 of these! They are solid and well built. The paint is kind of a chalky black so I wiped it off and gave it 2 coats of satin spray sealer. The edges are antiquedsanded down to give it some depth although you can’t see that from where they were placed on the front my house. Packaged 2 per box, each wrapped in bubble wrap. Good sturdy shelf brackets that double as hanger rod bracketswith the add on hanger rod brackets that bolts to the shelf brackets. They actually provided useful mounting screws with the shelf brackets, which was a pleasant surprise. I would have preferred them in white, but the bronze finish looks nice in its own right! They appear to be plenty sturdy, especially since they are mounted to the wall studs. Install was very easy. I will say thatis you are using a drill gun or impact driver, it will be very helpful to have a long drive extension to make it easier to iinstall the top screw!
