My condo has french doors in the living room and one bedroom. Even with blinds, the east morning sun heats up the entire unit, taking it all day to cool down. I have been able to lower my thermostat an average of about 2-3 degrees during the day since applying the film and I no longer have to keep the blinds closed tight all day. Surprisingly, it didnt make my room seem dark. The photo above shows the doors with film on the right side only and you can see it doesnt darken the room much. The product itself is great, it's as pictured. It was a little hard for me to install because my windows are kind of hard for me to reach. You will need a squeegee to install it and a spray bottle with soapy water. It would have been helpful to have a box cutter and a large ruler as well. My edges turned out a little sloppy because of my poor cutting with scissors. Overall they serve their purpose of distracting from the ugly view out of my window. In other words, in reality, you don’t see quite that many shapes or colors because they are all larger, so they cover more surface area. Also I thought the frostedness looked cheap and the opacity texture is irregular. I kept it only because it coordinates, in terms of the color palette, with another decal I’m using on the same large window. I didn’t have an array of alternative options from which to choose..
