This has been a great addition to our cats’ furniture collection! The smalleryounger cat loves to sleep on the flower on top, which is made of something like memory foam, but a bit denser. I imagine it is somewhat self-heating and also helps to hold onto the heat from the window. My largest cat loves the middle level basket. She will curl up in it for hours and has since I took it out of the box. Her sister is terrified of the entire thing and avoids even being near it. I have no idea why. I picked it because it had 3 levels, and they are always together, but it has not appealed to her yet. I’m really happy with this scratcher bed and so are my cats! Assembly was very easy and only took a few minutes. The instructions were clear, all the pieces fit together without any issues, and I didn’t need any special tools. It feels sturdy once put together, and the curved wooden frame looks much nicer than the typical cat scratchers you see in stores. The biggest plus for me is that this is not cardboard. I’ve bought so many cardboard scratchers before, and they always end up shedding little pieces everywhere. This sisal surface is much cleaner and more durable. There’s no mess on the floor, and it seems like it’s going to last a lot longer than the disposable cardboard ones. That alone makes it worth the purchase. My cats started using it almost immediately. One of them likes to scratch on the sides while the other actually lounges in the curved shape like it’s a little hammock. The size is perfect for adult cats, and it feels solid enough that it doesn’t wobble or slide around when they jump on it. I also like the neutral wood color because it blends in with my furniture instead of looking like a cheap pet toy. It actually looks nice sitting in the room. Overall, this was a great buy.
