A very stylish design, barely hides numerous flaws in workmanship in this pricey version of a chrome (brushed, in this case) swivel and height adjustable counter stool. It rises correctly upon demand, but height is less than steady when one is seated allowing some surprise partial descent of about six inches. The leather appears and feels “real,” but of lower quality. Still, I would guess that a real animal misses it. The fit of the leather is poor, quite visibly bulging out on all sides. These bulges may ultimately show dirt, discoloration or wear unevenly. They are unacceptable, but I doubt that they are limited to the chaos I received. Bought these in "Cream" for my new kitchen Island. In the pictures, they look cream; unfortunately, they are greige, and quite a dreary/dirty greige at that. I am adding photos, and one with a piece of cream fabric on the seat for reference. Wayfair is asking me to pay $35 for return shipping, which is surprising and quite disappointing. I don't think they should advertise a product color as "cream " when it is a dingy grey/beige. I have bought many things from Wayfair, and until now, I have found the company to be very fair and honest with their returns and customer service. They felt like friends and allies in the home furnishings world. I am really quite sad that their standards are dropping. Too bad. I put one chair together anyway to see if I could live with the color. The chair itself is easy to put together, and surprisingly sturdy, even given its quite streamlined appearance (which attracted me to it). It's even fairly comfortable. The mechanism for raising and lowering the seat is a bit sticky, but I got the hang of it quickly. The swivel works well. I think these chairs are an incredible value at the price. But the color is way off. So I would say if you're sure of the color, they are a fabulous buy for the money. They look cool and serve their purpose well, just don't buy the "Cream" ones if you have white in your kitchen. They just look grubby! Maybe I should exchange them for the orange?!! Update: After a lot of back-and-forth with Wayfair and the manufacturer, we have resolved this issue, and the manufacturer is sending me a replacement chair in white that is slightly different. I worried a little after I ordered this, but once I had it up, I knew I loved it. It was an unusual piece for me to get, but I simply didn't have floor space for a long bookcase and this seemed like a solution, as long as it didn't look cheap or odd, and it doesn't. I think it adds a unique touch to the room. I absolutely had to hire somebody, a professional carpenter who's a friend of mine, to put it together, I'm not at all handy, so there's no question of whether I could do it. He decided to glue it, which is not in the instructions, as he felt it would be more stable over time. $90.00 was the charge for an excellent professional. It still swivels very nicely on day four! These Bridgette bar stools are really good quality. Exactly as described. I had read a review that the oatmeal color was more gray, I don’t agree as the color is perfect, not gray but not beige either and exactly what I was after. This is a beautiful desk and very unique. It is incredibly sturdy. It provides a ton of work space without taking up a lot of space since you can tuck one part under the other. It requires minimal assembly. I wasn't impressed with the swivel part of this desk. For such a high quality desk, a wooden dowel holds the tops onto the base. I feel like there should have been more thought put into that. It swivels fine but the bottom desk section has scratches on it already from it rubbing together when you swivel it.
