This petite chair was inspired by pieces from the 50s and 60s, designed to have the sitter sit sideways with their elbow resting on the back of the chair. A tight back is raised over a tall kick pleated skirt.

This compact slipper chair was chosen so the views from the sunroom would not be blocked by furniture. The expert upholstery turned its simplicity into elegance. Values are rendered in various shades of chestnut and fawn with the figure centered on a taupe background. The belgique-antwerpen deckle frame fittingly complements the work on textured paper. Further, the title offers a sly question: Is the viewer seeing what is in front of them or does the view belong to what the woman sees in front of her?
